    Simplification checklist.

Most of us are unaware of how addicted to complexity we are. Layer upon layer of expectations, commitments, habits and ‘things’ that don’t serve us well.

First, we need to understand what’s not adding positively to our lives, or in fact contributing negatively, so that we can then start thinking about what could be removed, reduced or adjusted to create a very different outcome.

    Physical

    Emotional

    Cognitive

    Intrinsic

KEEP READING FOR NEXT STEPS
If you answered yes to any of these, there is some simplification that can be done. If there are lots of yes responses, choose one that could be easily and quickly simplified and then a further one or two that would be very impactful if you were able to get them to be more manageable.

Follow up reflection.

For one of the few yes responses, dig deeper to understand them some more. Take notes to bring your thinking and planning together. You can then repeat this process once you’re ready to tackle another area of complexity.

What do you think contributed to the yes responses?

What patterns of behaviour lead up to these situations or outcomes?

Who or what reinforces and encourages that situation or outcome?

What would it feel like to better manage these?

How could you simplify these situations or outcomes?

What barriers might you face in doing this?

What support, resources and guidance might you need to achieve this?

We'd love to hear from you, so let's connect.
